How this site is paid for

This site is free to use and you never pay us anything. We earn when you ask us to introduce you to an installer and you choose to go ahead with work. That is the whole model, and this page explains it plainly.

The introducer model

When you request quotes, we pass your details, with your consent, to up to three MCS-certified installers. If you decide to have work done, the installer pays us a fee for the introduction. You pay the installer the same price whether or not we introduced you. We do not add anything to your cost.

What this does not change

• Our tools and guides show the same figures to everyone. They are not tilted to push you towards a paid route.
• We do not rank or recommend named lenders, and we do not arrange the loan. When the Warm Homes Loan opens, you apply through the lender directly.
• We only share your details when you ask us to, and only for the purpose you agreed to. See our privacy notice.

Why we are upfront about it

An independent guide only works if you can trust what it tells you. Being open about how we are paid is part of that. If anything here is unclear, our editorial policy explains how we research and correct our content.
