When does the Warm Homes Loan Scheme open?

Public applications are expected to open in September 2026. Lenders were selected earlier in 2026 and the scheme rules were published in June 2026. The exact public opening date has not been fixed, so treat September 2026 as expected, not confirmed.

How to be ready
There is nothing to apply for yet, but you can do the useful groundwork now. Work out your numbers with the heat pump calculator or loan calculator, claim any grant you already qualify for, such as the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme, and join the launch list so you hear the day lenders open.
Because the scheme is not open, no genuine organisation can take an application or a fee for it. Anyone claiming to enrol you now is not legitimate.
